    Jennifer……..
As a published author…what they are saying is true!!! Write everyday even if you tear it up tomorrow. It really is not “writer’s block”; it is “writer’s fear” that keeps you from setting words to paper. It is okay if what you write is “lousy” one day and “great” the next. You are practicing your skill. Finely honed skill comes only with some nicks a long the way. Without them, you couldn’t sharpen and/or tune your instrument which is your brain. Again, write daily. Don’t worry about the story, it will come and maybe not in a chronological or an order that you currently have in mind. You can always bridge the gaps later, just get the incidents and events written. I still love to write and you are an inspiration to me to go back and flesh out some of the hundreds of skeletons I have left unfinished because I was “afraid” they were not good enough. They never are good enough. Writers can always find reasons not to write, what we need to do is simply write.
    Love you girlfriend,
    Sandy
